Happy Hanukkah!

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Today at sundown marks the start of Hanukkah, which is one of the many Jewish holidays celebrated throughout the year.  If you don't know much about Hanukkah, check out this video.

What a lovely holiday - a celebration of light and hope - finding light in the darkness.  Sounds just about right for the times we are in.  So though you may not be Jewish and you may not celebrate Hanukkah, like many non-Christians do with Christmas, you can celebrate the spirit of the season!

The point of my daily blog is to inspire you and to teach you skills that you can take with you out into the everyday world.  I hope that today you will remember that inclusivity around the holidays is not just important for making everyone feel welcomed and recognized, but it also shows that you are a person who is willing to educate yourself about different cultures and traditions from around the world (and in your own back yard!)

Happy Hanukkah Everyone!  Here's to the light triumphing over darkness for the next 8 days (and beyond).

May the spirit of the season be with you today and always,

Mrs. Hempey
