Happy Friday!
The long weekend is here, the weather is beautiful, and though the options for socializing with those outside your family are still a bit limited, I hope you and those close to you can plan to spend some fun time together this weekend! Hopefully you can enjoy a campfire or do some grilling! Have a burger or a dog, and enjoy your freedoms this Memorial Day weekend.
This week I came across this funny cartoon...
Storytime...I used to have a cat named Theo when I was a kid. I swear he thought he was a dog. He would follow us around our neighborhood, walking with us to the pool, hanging out on the grass while we swam, and then walking back with us when we were finally soggy and tired! He would sit on the hoods of neighbor's cars, sunning himself in the summer or warming up on a toasty car hood in the winter. He would refuse to move when they wanted to drive away. People would try to remove the peaceful looking tabby from their vesicles, and quickly learn that Theo was not happy to be touched. Many a neighbor pulled into our yard with Theo riding on the hood for him to be removed by us. Good thing our neighbors were tolerant of the cat and us! Ha!
Storytime over...the real reason I wanted to post this is that I feel like it represents how we need to treat each other. Human beings are mostly soft, but when you squeeze them the sharpness can come out. When the sharpness does happen, it impacts all involved. Please resist the temptation to squeeze each other. Handle with care. Encourage others to do the same.
Gently admire the softness...respect the death blades!
Enjoy your weekend!
